In November investigative reporting from the Chicago Tribune and ProPublica blew the lid off this decades-old practice, exposing Illinois’ dirtiest kept secret. In this interview, Jonathan discusses legislation he’s working on, his first-hand experience as a child in these isolation rooms, and I reveal that my son had a similar experience at schools in the North Suburban Special Education District right here on the North Shore.
